Where to use Companion Cards

While exploring ideas for upcoming day programs at My Pit Crew, I came across many places around Melbourne that accept Companion Cards. The program makes community participation more accessible for people with disabilities, as cardholders can bring a companion, such as a support worker, free of charge.

It’s also helpful for MPC support workers to know which places accept Companion Cards, as it makes it easier to support people to explore their interests, make choices and get involved in the community. Here are a few places that accept them and the benefits on offer.

So let’s get into some of the places and their offers!

Holey Moley Mini Golf

A fun activity for participants and support workers alike. Holey Moley offers $10 games for people with a disability, and carers play for free. Some venues also run sensory-friendly sessions with reduced music and adjusted lighting, so it’s worth calling ahead to check. Just note that the courses aren’t fully wheelchair accessible, as some holes are on risers or up stairs.

Locations: Melbourne CBD, Southbank, Chadstone, Point Cook, and Frankston.
