1:1 Support

While we don’t like defining people by their labels, the team at My Pit Crew understands how conditions such as ASD, ADHD and intellectual impairment can cause our clients to struggle to make social connections. We know the impact these conditions can have on relationships within your social circle which is why we developed a unique approach to our support.

1:1 support is a very personal experience, starting from the moment we sit down with you and your family during our very first meeting. This is where we start to get to know each other and to see if we could be a good fit! My Pit Crew isn’t just about achieving goals, it’s also about a type of support that really feels more like mateship.

Between myself and my small team of young guys and girls, I’m confident we can find a positive match that will really be able to help you build social confidence and independence (as well as any other goal you have in mind!)

Small Group Sessions

Our small groups are all about getting out there and into some casual experiences. From getting exercise by kicking the footy in the park, exercising at the local gym or going for a short hike or even just something more relaxed, like heading to the movies on a Saturday night to see the latest Marvel movie - our group activities are centered around common interests and similar ages.

And when we say small, we mean small! Each group will only have 1-2 support workers, with 2-3 young people. This is a great way to keep the session feeling natural, which allows for genuine friendships to form amongst the group members.

Every young person eager or curious to join a small group will always start with at least a couple of 1:1 sessions with a support worker that will be part of that same social group. This special approach has been so successful because we take things slow. A smooth transition from 1:1 to small group support really helps to lower feelings of anxiety and surprise.

Respites

Transportation
